Shark Tank India 2: Anupam Mittal-Vineeta Singh Recall Getting Pitches In Washrooms, Elevators And Cars; Say, ‘It Is Crazy’
Shark Tank India managed to garner a lot of attention from the audience ever since the release of its first season. While, fans are eagerly waiting for the second season to launch, the sharks aka the judges of the show have been talking about their experiences about becoming a household name. During a recent media interaction, founder of Shaadi.com Anupam Mittal, CEO of Sugar cosmetics Vineeta Singh and Lenskart’s CEO Peyush Bansal opened up about the strangest places they have receive business pitches.

Mittal revealed that people have taken the term ‘elevator pitch’ quite seriously. He went on to add that a person was trying to pitch him a business idea while driving next to his car. As quoted by Hindustan Times, he told Film Companion, “I think elevator pitch has actually become literal. I have not taken an elevator ride I don't know in how long without somebody pitching.” Vineeta interrupts him by recalling a person who was chasing Anupam’s car for ‘car to car pitching’. Even Vineeta and Peyush shared similar experiences. They spoke about how people stop them inside the washrooms to tell their business ideas. Bansal went on to recall that one time when he was in his car, a person had waved at him from their vehicle. As courtesy he waved back. However, once he reached his home, he saw the person waiting for him. They got out from the vehicle and pitched their business idea to Peyush outside his home.

For the unversed, the show is the Indian franchise of the American show of the same name, where known entrepreneurs listen to different business ideas and decide whether or not they want to invest in those ideas.
